NEWS & ACTIVITIES AT HBBC!!!

New Staff Members!!!:  As well as Linda, our Children's & Youth Worker, our Church Administrator, Vanessa, has started in the Friendship Centre.  The office will now be manned from Mon to Fri from 10am to 12pm every week.  See Contact Us to get in touch or pop in!!

Sermon Recordings:  Downloadable MP3s incl "Being A Biblical Man" from 23rd Nov (now including the sermon notes in PDF) and "Responding To The Good News" from 16th Nov are found on the Pastor's Thoughts, and links to Darren's blog.  All recordings can be found on the Sermon Archive.

Christmas Café:  Sat 6th, 13th and 20th Dec sees the church being opened up to warm up the freezing townspeople of Herne Bay with good coffee and tea, and maybe some cakes too!!!  Please pop in and relax with us and chat about what Christmas really means to you.

Temple Of Praise:  David John leads us through the Temple as a model for prayer on Sun 7th Dec at 6:30pm.  There will also be a short Communion.

The Lounge by The River:  Sunday 14th Dec at 6:15pm for 6:30pm sees a combined Christmas music / café service in the main church.  This won't be your usual Carol service, but will hopefully help lead everyone into the hope that comes at Christmas time!!

Miracle Street Christmas Carols:  On Tues 16th Dec at 4pm there will be a Churches Together carol service event in Mortimer Street.  Come and support us!!!


Who We Are
A very warm welcome to the Herne Bay Baptist Church web site.

We are a loving and diverse community in the heart of Herne Bay town centre who are united in our love for Jesus Christ and His gift of salvation, allowing us all to have a relationship with God The Father, in the power of His Holy Spirit.

We aim to provide a warm and welcoming place where newcomers and "regulars" alike can come and worship God together and feel they are valued.  We want people to feel at home here and be able to join in with us in our various activities.

The following mission statement was agreed by the church in February 1998:
"The mission of Herne Bay Baptist Church is to take the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to all who are outside of the Christian Church with the aim that they become his loyal disciples."

Membership of the church is through believer's baptism. Communion is open to all who love the Lord Jesus as Saviour.

We are members of the Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB).
